Selfmade Telescope Shelter

Description

This is my selfmade Telescope Shelter on Top of a Garage Roof. In my garden is not enough Space for a Shelter like this and so i had to built it on the Roof. Inside is a concrete pillar to carry my EQ6R and my 8“ Newtonian Telescope. There is enough Space to walk around the Mount.
The Shelter contruction was made of old Aluminum Profiles from my Trailer. The Roof is made of wooden Panels. All around are PVC Panels that i bought on Ebay. On the bottom and the top there is a ventilation slit to secure the airing. It works very well and the Telescope has always cooled down when i start my imaging session. Now I am ready in three minutes and can start imaging. My Mount and Telescope and all the equipment like Asi Air and so on are outside for six month now. Everything is fine and works very well.

Costs over all, including the concrete pillar, was round about 600 Euros. Hope it can inspire you..

V.S.T. stands for Very Small Telescope 😉😁
